27th July 2022 –
The company has announced a series of paid mechanical engineering internships which will begin in September 2022, January 2023, and May 2023, with each extending four months.
CAVU is looking to help develop and mould newfound passion, talent and ideas which can be brought to an industry bearing traditional roots. The company currently has an engineering team that exists to break the barrier by creating success for its clients. It is hoped that through the programme, CAVU can invest in a future generation of engineers and uphold its legacy by providing an environment for students to learn from industry innovators and have their work recognised.
CAVU president and chief experience officer Mark Stepanian says: “We are very excited to launch our Internship Program at CAVU. As we are a young company, we are committed to helping build the skills and qualifications Engineering students need to enter the industry after graduation.
“Our team is excited to work with a bright engineering student to assist in everything
from current projects to sales, to product launches. Each intern will help us to create the next generation of immersive experiences.”
A unique opportunity
The ideal candidate will be mechanical engineering-focused but will also have the opportunity to gain experience working within different teams at CAVU. Dedicated time will be set aside each week for training and mentoring, helping the intern to build skills and qualifications to enter the industry following graduation.
The Experience Engineering intern will also assist the sales and project teams with daily tasks, whilst reporting to the Mechanical Engineering team. They will become a ‘go-to’ when assistance is required with modelling, project coordination and the implementation of sales collateral.
Eligible students must be currently enrolled at an educational institution and must have completed at least one year of an engineering-related university degree from a recognized accredited college or university, with BEng, Mechanical Engineering being the preferred education program.
Further information on the program and how to apply can be found on the company’s career website.
Last year, Stepanian completed a day of industry sessions and discussions at blooloop V-Expo 2021 by exploring the impact of AR on theme parks, assisted by Terry Sanderson, a producer at Dreamcraft.
