CAVU Designwerks Inc, the media-based attractions specialist, has announced that it is establishing a presence in the Middle East. The new branch will service Riyadh, Beirut and Abu Dhabi.
CAVU is pleased to be expanding further in the Middle East region. This new branch will allow the company to develop close relationships with and provide a high-quality service to clients in the area. CAVU specialises in delivering media-based attractions within the themed entertainment sector.
Due to a change in policy, cinemas are now allowed to operate in Saudi Arabia. Development in the entertainment industry is now being encouraged by the government, and many new FECs and theme parks are being built. By establishing a base in the Middle East, CAVU will be able to provide world-class attractions to this fast-growing market.
Rapid growth in Saudi Arabia
A recent report from BMI Research forecasted the growth of international tourism in Saudi Arabia by 5.8% per year from 2018 to 2022. The General Entertainment Authority announced the investment of $71 billion to build the infrastructure that the entertainment sector will need as a result of this growth.“As the investment into the amusement park industry grows across the Middle East, we at CAVU want to ensure that we offer a local presence during this exciting time of growth,” says Peter Schnabel, CEO of CAVU Designwerks.
CAVU already has offices in Canada, the US and China, and is pleased to take this opportunity for growth in Saudi Arabia. Fahad Al Moammar, President of CGS, CAVU’s new partner in the MENA region, is excited to work with CAVU.
Mark Stepanian, VP Innovation and Engineering at CAVU Designwerks says, “There is no doubt the amusement industry in the Middle East is growing, with more families looking for quality entertainment without needing to travel. By having a location that’s close to the expanding Saudi Arabia market, we are able to provide close support and align ourselves with our clients and their needs.”
CAVU recently opened a Flying Theatre in Changsha, China, to critical acclaim.
